Overview

I continued working on:

  • Bach JS – Menuet in G major BWV Anh 114 (finished on Sunday)
  • De Seixas – Minuet in C minor (finished on Sunday)
  • Turk – Arioso (finished on Sunday)
  • Chopin – Waltz in A minor Op 34 No 2 (after learning all the notes; putting on hold)

And started working on:

  • Beethoven – Sonatina in G major Anh 5 No 1 (finished; need to get clean recording)
  • Burgmuller – Arabesque Op 100 No 2
  • Rebikov – The Chinese Doll (finished and recorded)
  • Bach JS – Musette in D major BWV Anh 126 (finished; need to get clean recording)

11 Sep — read through, movement 1 and 2; I must have worked on this at some point because the notes are familiar

12 Sep — worked on 1st and 2nd movement; started using urtext version (Tonebase)

13 Sep — worked on 1st and 2nd movement; up to speed; needs polishing

16 Sep — finished; need to get clean recording

New Burgmuller – Arabesque Op 100 No 2

12 Sep — read through; just about up to speed

13 Sep — up to speed; needs polishing

16 Sep — need to work on evenness of 5-note passages

New Rebikov – The Chinese Doll

13 Sep — read through; up to speed; very easy; will probably finish tomorrow

New Bach JS – Musette in D major BWV Anh 126 (Study Notes)

13 Sep — read through; just about up to speed

16 Sep — finished; need to get clean recording

Chopin – Waltz in A minor Op 34 No 2

11 Sep — started working on coda; continuing to work on Section A, B, C and D

12 Sep — continued working on coda

13 Sep — I’ve learned all the notes; I’ve decided to put this aside for a few months to let things percolate and build technique with easier pieces
