This week, I spent more time at my desk than at the piano. I worked primarily on creating study guides for the pieces I have finished. I also participated in my first “Two-Week Intensive” with Tonebase. The subject of this “intensive” is Improve Your Chopin Ornaments in Two Weeks.

Playing for Fun

Schubert – Sonata No 21 in B-flat major D 960, Andante sostenuto. I had fun playing it (for the first time in a long while). I doubt that anybody would have enjoyed listening to it. smile It made me start thinking that perhaps I’ll add the sonata to my list of pieces to work on. Many is the night that I fell asleep listening to my mother practice it. In particular, I fell in love with the B section of the second movement. So, I’ll start there. Why not?
